Imthiaz Syed is a Mechanical Engineer and Aerodynamicist based out of Ontario, Canada.

I earned my MASc. degree in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Over the past five years, my diversified experience in several sectors has allowed me to gain a holistic insight in engineering, spanning from initial concept designs to detailed design, and further into validation studies, manufacturing and aftermarket support.

While working in various capacities, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent aerospace, defense, and nuclear companies. Within these roles, I've managed structural, thermal, and of-course fluid simulations, covering both compressible and incompressible flow scenarios. I have authored several technical and feasibility analysis reports for aerospace organizations such as the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), QinetiQ Target Systems, and XL Aero.

Currently, I work as a Project Engineering Officer at Eclipse Automation, a part of Accenture Industry X. Here, I collaborate with the engineering teams, vendors, collaborators, and the customer, to coordinate and manage the development of several safety-critical components of a nuclear facility. I am also leading the charge in implementing an Engineering Simulation program within the company.
